Your Sudoku Wins Now Follow You Around

Curio & Co.’s Sudoku Solvers Club keeps track of what you’ve finished, no matter which device you solved it on.

Your Sudoku Wins Now Follow You Around

You know how it goes. You start a puzzle on your laptop over morning coffee, get pulled away, and by the time you remember it again you’re standing in line somewhere with only your phone in your pocket. Up until now, that phone had no idea what you’d already solved on the laptop. Each device kept its own separate memory, like two coworkers who never talk to each other despite sitting three feet apart.

Well, now they talk, if you’re a Sudoku Solvers Club member. Just log into your account once on each device, and that’s it, they start comparing notes. Solve your morning puzzle on your phone, tonight’s on your laptop, and both end up counted in the same place. (We’d like to imagine your devices are relieved. Keeping secrets from each other for this long is exhausting.)

One Puzzle, Any Screen

The puzzle runs entirely in your browser, so there’s nothing to install and nothing to configure twice. Open the Fun & Games page on your phone, your tablet, or your computer, and today’s five puzzles are sitting there, Casual through Diabolical, fresh every morning at midnight Central European Time. Along with the rest of the archive for members.

Membership is what makes the syncing work. Once you’re logged in, every puzzle you finish, any level, any day, gets marked off automatically. The archive shows a small dot for each of the five puzzles that you’ve completed, so you can tell at a glance what’s done and what’s still waiting for you, without having to remember it yourself.

One honest note while this is still new: it’s finished puzzles that sync, not one you’re halfway through. Start a grid on your phone, open the site later on your laptop, and you’ll find a blank grid there too, not the one you left mid-solve. But that’s next on the list. (Paper’s the same story, obviously. But if you like a printed puzzle, you like how it stays its own little universe. So do we.)

Some Things Don’t Change

None of that changes what’s always been true here. Solving a puzzle should feel like solving a puzzle, not clicking past banners to get back to your numbers. So there are no ads on the free daily puzzles, and none for members either. It’s a small thing, but it’s the kind of small thing that makes a puzzle break actually feel like a break.

And every puzzle we publish, on any device you play it, is verified with Sudoku Explainer before it ever goes live, so there’s exactly one valid solution to work toward. No guessing between two possible answers, no dead ends from a badly built grid. Just a puzzle, solvable through logic alone, wherever you happen to be solving it.

Same Puzzle, Wherever You Land

Phone on the bus, laptop over lunch, whatever the day calls for. Log in once per device as a Solvers Club member, and your finished puzzles, dots and all, end up in the same place.

Not a member yet? The five daily puzzles are still yours to play. But if you’re the type who likes seeing the full picture, Sudoku Solvers Club is there whenever you’re ready. And once a member, it will be there wherever you’re ready.
