What does the future hold for you? Turns out, we know!

We’ve looked into The Great Beyond and we’ve seen a piece of entertainment memorabilia in your future. And Curio & Co. is pleased to bring you this latest treasure – a reproduction of the Musterberg Deck tarot cards used for years at Pennyland amusement park.

The Musterberg Deck of tarot cards was created sometime in the early 1700s just as tarot cards began to transition from a simple card game into a divination deck for fortune telling. The design was unique for being the only deck to include a 79th card: The Siren serves as the highest of the Major Arcana or trump cards. By the turn of the century, the deck was redone for Pennyland where it was the exclusive deck of the popular Pennyland prognosticators in the Fortune Teller Tent.

We’ve recreated all of the wear and tear and idiosyncrasies of the original cards, and we’ve even included the Pennyland Guide to Cartomancy given to park employees to interpret the meanings of the cards for amusement park guests. What’s more, the cards come with instructions on how to play the original card game. We’ve had a lot of fun in the office doing readings for each other and playing rounds of this fast-paced game in the break room – and we’re sure you will too.

The cards will be available to the public for the first time at this year’s Comic-Con. We’ll have a limited number of cards available for the sneak peek, so don’t wait for the end of the show to stop by the booth. If you miss ‘em you’ll have to wait for the general release in September once they’ve been exhibited as part of our exhibition at Atelier Olschinsky.

To get them during the sneak peek, you can order them online, and when it comes time to select your shipping methods, choose ‘Comic-Con2015’ as the shipping method and you’re all set. There will be no shipping charges, of course, since you’ll be picking them up at the booth. Just bring your order number to Booth 1217 at Comic-Con, and we’ll have the cards for you – it’s just that easy!

Not going to Comic-Con? Don’t fret. Order now and select your shipping option, and as soon as the pre-orders begin shipping on September 1st we’ll get it out to you. Once they arrive, deal out a spread and see what the future has in store for you!
